The mathematician and the wolf

Despite having different etymologies, the first one referring to the quest for knowledge and the second taking place by means of inspiration, Mathematics and Music harmonize with each other as curiously connected subjects. While it is possible to find people who receive inspiration as well as musical compositions without knowing theories, how to read musical scores and let alone fractions and logarithms, it is widely known that almost every kind of music may be transcribed into codes which ultimately, as a rule, represent numbers.
